We’re delighted to be able to announce that we have secured £22,500 of funding from Museums Galleries Scotland to allow our project manager, Stephen Balfour to carry out business development activity to increase revenue from a diversified range of income streams; carry out targeted marketing campaigns to grow visitor and volunteer numbers; and to establish effective working relationships with a range of partners. This will help to make us sustainable in the long term
The Linlithgow Heritage Trust is going through a significant period of change. In the past year the trust have moved out of their old building (Annet House), and have created and opened a new, high-quality Linlithgow Museum within the Linlithgow Partnership Centre.
An associated activity plan has led to a substantial amount of community engagement and a wider sense of ownership of the museum.
The leadership of the trust is also evolving and going through a transition period with 5 new trustees in the process of joining the board. The board is committed to building its capacity and experience and will be taking part in the MGS board development programme due to start in September.
